I made a reservation over the phone with the winery's manager for an upcoming large event, and made credit card payment. A little bit later in the day something happened which meant I wouldn't be able to attend on the date of the event. So around the end of the day I called back to cancel my reservation, and have the credit card payment refunded. I apologized and said that I wished I could attend, and the staff person said no problem but the manager would have to do it, and she'd have her call back right away to do so. I received no call back. Several days passed and I had to call back to request the refund again. The staff member apologized, said they saw the note sitting there to do this, and they'd have the manager call back asap to put this through. Well again, several days passed and nothing. I called back a couple more times over the following week to get this resolved, all with the same promise the manager would get this taken care of, all with the same non-result. Throughout the more than two weeks this was not getting resolved, I would check our card's transactions list. The charge had gone through of course, but never the refund. I had to file a formal refusal of payment, which thankfully our card company approved. I find it terrible business practice that the people who run this winery can't even take care of a simple request like this, and would prefer to keep our money instead. I have not visited the winery yet, and now won't, as I can only imagine the type of disorganized service one might receive there.

God food and wine. Setting looks nice, but it was a misty fall day so we were inside. Well be back in Spring and/or Summer.
